CIGAR MEN OF DISTINCTION HISTORY

The Cigar Men of Distinction, a social cigar club, now consisting of members throughout the United States is the combined foresight of its Founders, Troy Austin, Kevin Johnson, Albert Jackson, Courtney King, Andre’ Howard, and William Gettys. After networking and developing great friendships, the Founders’ diverse professional backgrounds began to synergize. The collective conceptualization of these men, allowed them to create on April 15, 2015, in Birmingham, Alabama, a unique Cigar Club, that focuses on community stewardship and charity events “For the Kids”, while enlightening each other over fine cigars.

The Club’s original name was the Cigar Boys of Birmingham. After discussing the idea with a friend, Founder Troy Austin, made a resolution to the other Founders to adopt the name Cigar Men of Distinction, rather than Cigar Boys, since the name was not a good representation of the group, and the high level goals that the Club was destined for.

The Cigar Men of Distinction Cigar Club, has performed several charity events to help the community. We believe in handling business first, and partying “with a purpose” that gives back to society. Our membership is in virtually every profession, from entrepreneurs and business owners, corporate executives, civil servants, lawyers, to military leaders, entertainers, and athletes.

The Cigar Men of Distinction is a successful group of Individuals and the Club values and ideals shall continue to grow. This is not a hobby, It’s a lifestyle.
